Day of arrival

It is about a 3.5 hour flight from Amsterdam to Lefkas. Travel companies offer charter flights to Prveza. We recommend that you book early so that you have plenty of options. After arriving in Sivota you can go to the Sunny Sailing office where you will be welcomed by Pim Bastiaanssen and Joyce Corbée. As soon as the yacht is ready (no later than 5pm) you can board and receive a short check-in. We will of course let you know if you can board earlier. But you can always enjoy the beautiful fishing village. Sivota is home to some beautiful beaches with amazingly clear waters and white sand, very famous for its breath-taking beauty and wild backdrop. Wonderful to relax and / or swim.

Greek weather

Naturally Greece has a perfect sailing climate. The sun shines exuberantly and the wind often, but not always, is around 4 Beaufort (13 knots). We are often asked what the weather is like during a certain week or month, but unfortunately, we can’t answer that. The weather is changing a lot all over Europe; this is based on a few years of experience and not statistics! It is true that the standard weather is with wind only starting in the afternoon, and often calmer mornings.

Our sailboats

We sail on different types of Bavaria yachts ranging from 31 to 45 feet. The sailing yachts are luxuriously designed and of course equipped with a shower (both inside and outside), a bimini (a canvas top for the cockpit of the boat) to provide shelter from the sun, a cooling unit, furling mainsail, furling genoa, GPS, VHF radio, speed and depth sounder, autopilot, and a dinghy with an outboard motor. In addition, we offer (larger) yachts from 3rd parties. There are several companies we work with in both the Nidrid and Lefkas marinas.

Sailboat invetory

All boats are fully furnished and equipped; see our inventory list. (Children’s) life jackets are standard on board, but we have them in all sizes, please ask about them after arrival. We do not provide snorkelling equipment for hygienic reasons; so just bring it with you or buy it here.

Our sailboats

We are often asked whether we will sail route 1, 2, North or South, however, the flotilla guide reserves the right to make changes to the route / plans. This may be due to weather conditions or possible crowding in a particular marina. Therefore, all routes are examples.

Day of arrival with a rental from Lefkas Marina or Nidri

Your departure point is different when you have a rental boat from the Lefkas or Nidri marinas. Your departure will then be from the marina where the boat is rented. You can choose to sail to Sivota in the afternoon to join the rest of the flotilla, we will gladly reserve a place for you at the jetty. If you don’t want to leave until Sunday, then we will of course brief you in advance and meet up with you again at the first day’s destination.

Crew change

A crew change during a multi-week route is only possible, if specified in advance. All additional costs for renewing the charter papers at the port police are at your own expense (minimum €25.00 per boat).
