Sail along in Greece: if you cannot yet sail!
Want to go on a sailing holiday but you cannot sail? No problem! At Sunny Sailing you can sail along with the lead boat so that you can still enjoy a relaxing holiday on the water.
You sail on a luxury sailboat with other sailors. For singles, families, single-parent families, friends, but also couples this is the ideal opportunity to go on a sailing holiday because the skipper and co-skipper are in total control of the lead boat.
Sailing yourself during your sail along holiday
Would you like to actively sail yourself? That is also possible on the lead boat, it is after all a sailing holiday. If you don’t feel like sailing you can also enjoy the Greek sun, swim, or read a book! You will meet many new people and experience a relaxed atmosphere on the boat.
What does a week sail along look like?
Your skipper and co-skipper will take you to the most beautiful bays and picturesque Greek villages. Along the way there will be plenty of time to take a dip in the clear blue water! Every day you visit a different Greek marina town. The sail along boat is also part of the flotilla. This means that in the afternoon you will also meet other people in addition to your own crew.
The sail along boat
The sail along is a spacious yacht with 3 cabins and 2 outdoor steering wheels. You can shower inside and outside the boat and can cook for yourself (if you wish). Inside there are 2 toilets and 2 showers. If you are an active sailor, you can sit with by the skipper by the helm. If you are not so an active sailor, then you can bathe in the sun on the deck. In short, an active holiday in the sun, but nothing is a must! If you book the sail along holiday there is a chance you will share a cabin with someone else (same sex). If you wish for more privacy you can book a cabin alone, however there is a surcharge.
Sail along Greece: the cash fund (kitty)
A cash fund (or kitty) will be organized for the daily groceries / expenditures for on board (i.e. breakfast, lunch, snacks and drinks). The kitty consists of 2 parts: a fixed € 75,- per person / per week and a variable part. The variable part is determined in consultation with the rest of the group. Experience shows us that the variable part is approximately € 95,- per person / per week. The kitty is calculated based on the number of days of the trip. Each co-sailor pays € 27,50 for the final cleaning. Marina fees, fuel and utilities (gas, water, electricity) are paid from the kitty. The skipper and co-skipper are exempt from contributing to the kitty. There is a 50% discount on the variable amount to be paid for children 10 years or younger, the fixed amount is the same for every sailor regardless of age.
