What is Flotilla Sailing?
Flotilla sailing is the ideal combination of sailing independently and the fun of sailing in a group. In your sailboat you sail the mapped-out route yourself (or with some help) along with other boats from the fleet. This fleet with different sailing yachts is called a flotilla.
The advantages of sailing in a flotilla
Flotilla sailing is especially ideal when you do not feel confident enough to sail alone but are already familiar with sailing. Below are the advantages of flotilla sailing:
- Flexible, go at your own pace;
- Tips from experts;
- Mapped out sailing routes so you do not have to search for the most beautiful spots yourself;
- The freedom of sailing your own holiday and the fun of being a part of a group;
- You determine the stops you want to make along the mapped out route;
- The ideal holiday for your family.
When sailing in a Flotilla there is a briefing every morning. In the briefing you will hear what the days destination is, the weather forecast, where beautiful bays are, where the shallows are and of course where the dolphins can be spotted.

Mooring in the marina with your sailboat
The lead boat of the flotilla is the last to leave and the first to arrive in the next Greek town or bay to assist you with mooring. Once moored, there is time to exchange stories, perhaps while enjoying an ‘anchor beer’. In the evenings you can join the flotilla group for dinner in the taverna. But you don’t to you as it’s your holiday!
Flotilla sailing offers freedom, fun and a helping hand when mooring and sailing away, but also en-route if necessary.
